Welcome to Guitar Journey!

Guitar Journey started out as a place to showcase a few songs I’ve written, as well as a journal of my progress in learning to play guitar. Also, I will be sharing some tips and resources I’ve come across that may be helpful for other beginning guitar players.

A few years ago (at age 68), I realized I had an unfulfilled dream of mastering the beautiful art of playing the guitar and singing my heart out…and writing songs. In my late 20s, I had tried to learn guitar and make a living as a songwriter, with little success. After several years, I found a more practical (for me) way to make a living, and my musical interests slumbered until recently. Now I’m playing again and lovin’ it!

In a nutshell, here’s what you can expect from Guitar Journey:

• Songs I’ve written, or links to songs from other singer/songwriters that I love;
• Beginner tips, tricks and resources about playing guitar and song writing;
• Product reviews of gear and resources I’ve used or am using;
• “Ramblings”…vignettes from my “guitar journey”.
